Social Isolation And How We Can Help
People of all ages can feel alone and isolated, which can feel really sad. Particularly thinking about others having someone to share a smile, conversation or a laugh with. while they are missing out.
We have seen huge changes with our clients by expanding social options in their lives. We can help with social skills, conversation starters, and tips for asking questions.
Naturally it is often much easier to feel enthusiastic to join a group, or start a conversation if you and the individuals you are taking to have a common interest. This is always at least a good place to start!
Formal Services
Many of our clients are unaware of the formal services and programs available in their local area – and have been so surprised what is right around the corner.
Everyone has different needs, but a few examples may include:
- Meal delivery
- Cleaning
- Laundry
- Support Workers
- Home nursing
- Medication delivery
Outside of the house, we can help you or your loved one gain confidence, fulfilment and independence by accessing community transport and linking them in with social activity groups (eg walking groups, hobbies/special interests, group outings).
